Return Policy

Unused/Unwashed Diapers can be returned within 7 days of receiving from our In-stock Store. Custom orders (Orders which have been altered such as increasing the rise, making the soaker different, or changes requested by you from my original design), are made to your specifications and can not be returned or refunded. Any orders that are cancelled after I have began will be charged a 15% restocking fee. This is to cover the costs of supplies that I have used to start your order.

We will fix or replace damaged diapers at our discretion within 30 days after diapers are received. You can exchange UNUSED items (not washed or worn) for store credit, providing they were not custom made, less shipping charges. There are no exceptions to this policy.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Flush solid waste away. Some people use disposable liners inside cloth diapers to make this easier.

2. Put diapers in a pail half-filled with a mixture of water and 1/4 cup of vinegar or Borax, to control odor and to make stain removal easier.

If you will be washing them frequently, you can also put them in a dry pail.

3. Soak diapers until you are ready to wash them, then drain excess liquid into the toilet. If necessary, use your spin cycle to help remove the soaking solution.

For a Dry Pail System, just start with the washing instructions below -

4.
Wash your diapers in hot water.

5. Double-rinse in cold water

6. Check for stubborn stains before putting the diapers in the dryer; if you catch them before they set, you will be able to remove them more easily. 7. Dry the diapers on high heat in your dryer, or in direct sunlight if you like.

Tips:

You might want to invest in a Diaper Sprayer. Much like the one on your kitchen sink, the powerful spray knock most solids right off the diaper and into the toilet...No rinsing!

If your washing machine has a presoak cycle, try it. It helps to loosen stains before the actual wash cycle.

If you like, throw a cup of baking soda into the presoak cycle; it neutralizes the alkalinity of urine, and helps to whiten the diapers.

Sunshine is a great stain remover. Line drying your diapers from time to time will help keep them white and fresh-smelling.

Warnings:

Keep diaper pail out of reach of children - especially when filled with water and vinegar mixture.

Avoid heavily scented detergents that can irritate your baby's sensitive skin.

Avoid fabric softener in the dryer ' it can reduce the absorbency of your cloth diapers.

Avoid washing too many diapers at once ' an average washing machine can handle about two dozen diapers at a time, if you want to get them really clean.

Check the washing instructions for diaper covers and wraps carefully ' many of them need to be washed separately from diapers, and will not stay waterproof if you put them in the dryer.

Stripping Cloth Diapers

'
Stripping' is a method of removing residue from cloth diapers. This residue will either cause excessive odor or ineffective diapers. If the residue is from overuse of detergents or using soap you will end up with smelly diapers. Often, the smell will only surface after Baby has peed.

If the residue is from fabric softeners, this will cause the cotton and hemp diapers to be less absorbent and the fleece diapers to repel water- both will result in leaking cloth diapers.

To strip a diaper of excess detergent, simply wash them with just water until no suds appear when agitating.

To strip diapers or covers of fabric softeners or soap, simply hand wash in regular dish soap (this gets the oils out). Add a small amount of dish soap directly to the fleece and rub the fleece together (or scrub it with a brush). Do this to both sides of the fleece. Rinse well. Do this whenever the diaper seems to be repelling rather than absorbing. If you are still having trouble, try a very hot wash using 2 scoops oxygen bleach..
